Welcome to Pallamallawa
Located approximately 30 kilometers east of Moree, the rural township of Pallamallawa, or ‘Pally’, is home to the most impressive War Memorial in the district. The township encompasses a range of food and service outlets including banking facilities, a post office, a hair and beauty salon, cafe/take away shop, pub, sporting amenities, a primary school and pre-school provided by Gwydir Mobile. Surrounded by diverse agricultural productions including livestock, irrigated crops such as cotton as well as dry-land crops such as wheat, chickpeas and sorghum, the region demonstrates a high level of innovation in agriculture particularly in the areas of pecan and olive grove productions.
Lighthorseman Daniel Daley and famous poet Murray Hartin proudly call Pallamallawa home and are clear examples of how the school’s motto “Strive for Success”, has been imparted on our locals. Further examples of this are evident in Pally’s War history. The newly developed granite memorial lists the conflicts that people from Pallamallawa have been involved in, including: Boer War, First World War, Second World War and Vietnam.
